Which of the following entries do you see: SlimServer SlimServerMySQL SqueezeCenter SqueezeMySQL If there's still a c:\program files\slimserver folder, what files are still in there? Sometimes the uninstaller is working "too fast" and services aren't correctly shut down. This can lead to running services, while the new ones should be installed. Did you reboot your machine since the update? I guess the above fact is the reason why most installation will ask you to reboot your machine...
