This interface is growing on me. There are definitely some very nice additions, and some of the annoyances are becoming less annoying. :)
But one comment/question: Does anyone else find usability issues with the way the control buttons only appear when an item is moused over? When the controls are always visible, the way you use them is to move your mouse directly to the control, then click it. Simple enough, right? But with this peek-a-boo interface, you move your mouse over an item to highlight it and make the controls visible, then you slide your cursor across to the control. Not quite as simple. I didn't realize at first why this approach feels like so much more work, but then I pulled up the Classic skin and the new Default skin side by side and used both and finally figured out that mouse movements in the two are very different.
