Funny, I just files an enhancement request about exactly this. I think it would feel better if highlighting were removed immediately when you move off of an item. http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6078 In the bug I remark that it appears that there's some kind of timer that turns off the highlighting in the playlist pane after a couple of seconds. Aren't you seeing this?
