I haven't tried running it without enabling the service first. It works fine running as a service. It just doesn't autostart after a "fairly clean" install.
I have an XP Pro sp2 box that I connect to remotely from a Windows Vista desktop. I am using MusicIP and local music is on drive D. I am using IE 7. What other configuration information would you like to know? To do my "fairly clean" install I uninstalled the prior 7 install and manually deleted both SC directories.
