This is weird. I'm also still having intermittent issues, mostly on SoftSqueeze. What player are you using? Mine is pretty reliable on an SB2. > To install Alien: > > cd /tmp > wget http://www3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/MPlayer-1.0rc1.tar.bz2 > cd /usr/share/squeezecenter > tar -xzvf /tmp/alienbbc-linux-v2.00beta_7.0.tar.gz > cd /var/lib/squeezecenter/Plugins > chown -Rf squeezecenter:squeezecenter . > service squeezecenter restart > > (Is this correct or have I screwed it up?) I assume you also did "chmod +x Bin/mplayer.sh". FWIW, I'm using the RPMs for mplayer (and lame) from RPMForge, but it's the same version. > It appears to have installed correctly and I can browse all the stations > but still get the "can't connect to server for:" error on both live and > listern again streams. I don't see this error. In my case it either just doesn't play, or plays static. "can't connect" suggests a network error. Can you play the BBC streams with mplayer from the command line? Have you tried increasing the radio station timeout? -- Fletch ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fletch's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=529 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39789 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
