This is weird.  I'm also still having intermittent issues, mostly on
SoftSqueeze.  What player are you using?  Mine is pretty reliable on an
SB2.

I assume you also did "chmod +x Bin/mplayer.sh".  FWIW, I'm using the
RPMs for mplayer (and lame) from RPMForge, but it's the same version.

I don't see this error.  In my case it either just doesn't play, or
plays static.  "can't connect" suggests a network error.  Can you play
the BBC streams with mplayer from the command line?  Have you tried
increasing the radio station timeout?
