The latest RPM in yum should fix the CentOS 4 issues. Please test. FYI, the Alien issue turned out to be that their custom-convert file is incompatible with the older flac version in C4. I switched back to using the bundled version. Actually, I'm still seeing intermittent problems on C4, but I think it's my setup.
