You should be able to remove these obsolete versions from your add/remove list without too much difficulty.
I find that the best way to upgrade Softsqueeze is to go into the Java control panel applet and delete the old version from Java's downloaded applications list first. Unfortunately SUN keeps re-arranging the location of this setting but with the 1.6 JVM you'll find it under Start->Settings(Control Panel)->Java Once the Java control panel applet opens, go to General->Temporary Internet Files->View After a bit of searching a dialog will appear. Select any old copies of Softsqeeze and hit delete. Then on the toolbar at the top of the dialog, switch from Show Applications to Show Deleted Applications and remove Softsqueeze from the deleted list. -- oreillymj ------------------------------------------------------------------------ oreillymj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=699 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40442 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
