I have not been able to play anything off Rhapsody all afternoon. I had played Rhapsody direct music this morning, and yesterday. Now I consistently get "Internal Rhapsody Error: Unable to Authenticate the user" flowing across the Squeezebox screen. Any idea why this might be? I rebooted my SqueezeCenter machine, turned on and off all the network devices . . . there's not much else to reboot.
While I'm on the subject, is there a discussion anywhere that explains the differences between using Rhapsody "My Library" and Rhapsody "Direct"? Do both use Rhapsody "Direct" ultimately, if you are not using uPnP, which I have turned off? Exactly where do you enter the authentication information for Rhapsody? In the Rhapsody software? Mine is in there, I can log in, and I can play songs directly on the server through Rhapsody, but that's not what I'm trying to do. In SqueezeNetwork? I've put my info in there. Do I have to have the Rhapsody client software running, or be logged into SqueezeNetwork, or both, or neither, in order to use Rhapsody over SqueezeCenter? It is not exactly easy, or at least has not been for me, to get a clear picture of how this is all supposed to work, so that when problems crop up I can debug them. It would be nice if, somewhere, there were a clear description of how all of this works. In the meantime, it was working, and now it isn't. Anybody have any ideas?
