Windows Services. If you stop SlimServer using right click on the tray icon the SlimServerMySQL service does not stop.
If you stop it using Administrative Tools/Services it's often impossible to delete the cache until you have stopped scanner.exe (which seems to run when not expected). Even then often it takes a reboot of the PC before IBdata is released to allow a delete of SlimServer cache. Via the SC7 interface it seems impossible to restart a rescan once one is started in error. Often the only thing that will enable one to restart a rescan is to do the above (including a reboot). If it takes nearly two hours for a full rescan (as it does me) then this is a mite troublesome.
