Please see the following thread for some information about what might be your problem: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40018 We moved the preference files. As this was (and still is) Beta, we didn't include a mechanism to migrate the preference files over to the new location. Now it's possible your user, under which the service should be run, doesn't have access rights to the existing configuration. Easiest solution would be to completely uninstall SC7, remove any remaining traces (installation, configuration, cache folders, registry entries etc.) and try again. I successfully tested today's build on a Vista, using a non-privileged user.
