The current method of creating a random mix works fairly well, but it
falls short in two ways:

1. I'd like to be able to exclude specific songs or albums by giving
them an additional genre (my library is in FLAC). For example, Steve
Earle's "Just An American Boy" has several tracks of him talking to the
audience between songs, which make no sense in random mode, but I still
want those tracks to have the same genre as the rest of the CD. If I
gave those tracks a secondary genre (e.g. "NoRandom"), I'd then like to
be able to exclude them; however, this isn't possible with the current
design. Likewise, my wife would rather not hear any Steely Dan, so it
would be nice to have a convenient way of excluding them without
bastardizing the primary genre.

2. I think Random Mix would be improved if it were possible to save
profiles of different mixes for quick recall. This isn't especially
useful with the current including-genres design, but it becomes more so
if the enhanced selection I've described above were implemented.
Ideally, these mix profiles could be included in the "Now Playing"
menu.
