I don't think the queue length was the issue - before the site played up, everything was fine. Then suddenly I had playback pauses and loss of unresponsiveness. The server didn't seem to be slowing down over time, as the queue length built up. And the queue shouldn't have been long. Unless something caused the list to get very long all of a sudden, due to some other fault?
