On the forum the link to that bug doesn't work... it has an extraneous bracket after it.
I've added my tuppence worth to the bug, and I'm afraid it doesn't help you with your partial reproduction. I never use the Advanced Search so would not know if this has been a long time problem for me or not. However, my general Various Artists duplicated tracks problems seemed to start around the time I reorganised all my Various Artist albums under one folder called _Various Artists, so I am wondering if this, or the underscore might have something to do with it. Am checking now but there seems to be a problem with the SC7 scanner which is making this hard (report for another thread I think).
