It's actually mysqld.exe, unlike the title. I don't think it's the service the installer installs, rather a leftover process from the previous install. You're right that I don't know where services control applet is, but if I try to kill in task manager I get access denied. For that reason I also can't delete Program Files/Squeezecenter. I'm running SC as an app, but was getting the same leftover process/install hang as a service (IIRC).
