THANKS MUCH for this thread. I've been trying to solve this problem for a long time now, and finally came across this.
In my case, I had McAfee running -- MCShield.exe -- and preventing a full, proper scan. If you have this running, either uninstall it, or fix it in some other manner, and the scan will complete properly, including all album cover art. -- Mike Anderson 'FREE RADICAL RADIO!'
