I keep my flac's in a separate folder structure. I have a C:\flac and a c:\lossy and by artist\album\track#-title Then I make a folder C:\slimmusic and put shortcuts to both directories. Then I point the squeezeserver to it as my music folder. I think a lot of people do it this way as it makes keeping track of your music very easy and easy to transfer around (ie ipods etc.). It's the stardard of itunes also. I was wondering if you could do this so that it compares folder names and defaults to flac if one folder contains flac. I know nothing about programing but I would think this would be fairly simple. (I'm also probably way wrong too.) :) Anyway I would try it but it wouldn't work with my structure, at least I don't think it would. You can enlighten me. It sounds like a great idea and one that is needed. Thanks for creating it even if it doesn't work for me.
