How are you configuring feeds - by manually editing the opml file? If so all feeds will become blank if the file is no longer valid xml/opml.
If you are adding feeds via the settings menu, then I would not expect other feeds to become blank - can you give more details. Https feeds will possibly work if you have the relavent perl modules installed (IO::Socket::SSL). This is not supported, but it works for me on linux - windows may be more of a problem...
