I'm playing around with Mp3 transcoding and streaming and I'm displaying buffer fullness on a couple of my player displays.
I have an SB2 sitting next to a Boom in my office, both of them connected wirelessly, about four feet from my wireless access point. They each get wireless signals in the 97 to 100% range. Streaming Mp3 (transcoded from Flac) to the SB2, the buffer never gets above 30% full, mostly ranging between 10 and 15%. The Boom receiving a Flac stream stays pegged at 100% buffer fullness. The CPU load on the server is very low and the server and WAP are both connected to the network via wired ethernet. What's the reason for the low buffer fullness on the SB2 receiving Mp3? -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51990 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
