When I right-arrow into song info for the currently playing song and drill into
the album info, it only displays songs on the album by the currently playing
song's artist.
I'm sure that it used to display all songs on the album (irrespective of
artist). If I want only the songs by that artist on the album, I can drill
down through song info > Artist > Album.
If I play random songs and a song comes up from a compilation album and I
decide I want to play the whole album, I can't browse to that album quickly.
It is also clearer to function by displaying all songs on the album, because if
there are several performers on songs on the album, it is not clear how artist
filtering of the album would work.
eg. consider an example album:
Song 1 by Artist A
Song 2 by Artist B
Song 3 by Artist A and B
If I am playing Song 1, would I see only Song 1 or also Song 3 when I drill
down to the album?
If I am playing Song 3, would I see only Song 3 or also Song 1 and Song 2 when
I drill down to the album?
When drilling down into song info, you get a list of artists performing on the
song which you can select to browse, so you could browse albums/songs by Artist
A or by Aritst B which is clearer - less ambiguous.
I believe the functionality has changed, and regard this as a bug. However, I
often use CustomBrowse instead of the standard browse menus, so maybe this
changed a while back and I haven't noticed.
Did it used to work like this, or was there an intentional change or a
side-effect from another change that has caused this new behaviour?
