I just want to add that if your Squeeze box player and Softsqueeze appear out of synch you can go into settings on softsqueeze and click, "unsynch", ; then wait a minute, click "synch", and that will bring it back to a better synch state. Mine playing on Vista 32 Home, usually stays well in synch but sometimes gets out for some reason or other. This will get it better. Good luck.
