I'd like to believe that if there were really something wrong with the SBR to account for what is happening that it would 1) not pass self-test and 2) give me one of the purple light failure indicators. I'm struggling to believe that a problem or failure of this sort (if real) would otherwise appear to the operator as though the SBR had no probems at all.
