I've just upgraded to SC7.3 and built the latest SVN of Squeezeplay
(Gentoo Linux).

Squeezeplay works as expected on server running Squeezecenter (but SC
is not autodiscovered). However on a second box, running the same build
over an NFS share, it is acting strangely. It tries to connect to
SqueezeNetwork repetitively, and has no Quit option on the menu. I'm
assume this means that for some reason it thinks it is on a SqueezeOS
and not a desktop (but it does start with the Desktop skin!).

Also, it doesn't talk to the Squeezeslave player running on the same
box - it just goes to the choose source screen when I try to select it
- but it will happily work squeezelslave on the server, along with my
SB1, SBR and now-player capable SBC.

On the second box /usr from the server is mounted read only.
Squeezeplay is installed under /usr/local/ (I've have to mess with
symlinks in /usr to get it to find things and start). Also it is
started via a shell script that cd's to /usr/local first, otherwise it
moans about No Skin!

Any thoughts??
