If that is so (which I do not hope), -I'd advise Logitech marketing strongly not to do that.- It would really be dumb, and I can't imagine the SlimDevices or Logitech crew being that dumb.
When showing off SqueezeStuff to others, I regularly find that people get intrigued and first try SC, then play with SP, and eventually can't wait for their first SB to be delivered... Even -I- got lured that way, though I've been in business for more than 30 years and know the "instruments" pretty well. SC and SP can beautifully be used as a "marketing instrument" to get people actually buying SqueezeBoxes! Of course there's always some that want to get everything for free, but what the heck? Let them play with it.
