got a quick question related to testing of 7.3 (and 7.3.1) - what
environments are you using? eg. do you do any testing on set-ups of
just stand-alone duets running just squeezenetwork as a player source
(no squeezecenter server running)?

This is actually a very common install happening in NYC/NJ area - (eg
at least 6 non-techie people I have recommended duet to in the last 4
weeks have run out to by it to use as a blackbox add-on to their
stereos, or have purchased it for xmas...) They liked mine so much at
parties..

my own experience:
moved from 7.2 to 7.3 last night via the "set up a temporary
squeezecenter 7.3 server on my son's imac, upgrade duet SB/SC firmware,
and then restart, turn off squeezecenter method" and it worked fine,
however 7.3 had so many issues (one of which I think I see in this
thread for 7.3.1) I had to revert back to 7.2 after about 3 hrs of
messing around with it.

Biggest issue I saw was with Rhapsody - Albums that were in my
favorites that played fine with 7.2 got the dreaded "timed out waiting
for stream...." for the first 2-3 tracks sometimes (it would cycle up
as it kept failing, and then "catch" on a track).

And in general the entire usability of the interfaces now seemed
"sluggish" - reverting back to 7.2 was like stripping 1000 pounds off
excess weight off of it...

thanks
