Yes, I was a little premature, as t'were. SC web gui showed files playing, SB3 wasn't playing them.
So, I'm uninstalling SC 7.4 and trying the public release of 7.3.2 It won't be a 100% clean install coz I can't face putting all my prefs in from scratch again. For good measure before doing any of this I've... 1 Set system restore point 2 Uninstalled MediaMonkey 3 Rebooted 4 Set another sys restore point 5 Backed up the registry 6 Cleaned the registry 7 Uninstalled SC 7.4 (apart from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SqueezeCenter\prefs) 8 Run cleanmgr to empty all Windows temp folders 9 Rebooted 10 Downloaded 7.3.2 24695 from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html ...we'll see how we go. I run Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 but I've explicitly put all SC related .exe files in Kasp's trusted zone, set to "Do not scan opened files", "Do not monitor application activity" and "do not scan network traffic" - and it's always been set thus.
