The WebUI/CLI should have some "Unsynchronize ALL Players" function.

A few weeks ago I tried to sync with some remote player, and SC seems
never to forget, -not even- after completely deinstalling SqueezeCenter
7.3.2, SqueezePlay and SoftSqueeze, and re-installing a fresh SC 7.4!
(It asked me if I wanted to delete all saved preferences and settings
on deinstall and I answered "Yes".)

I still keep getting messages like

Code:
--------------------

  [09-01-27 11:44:45.9930]
Slim::Networking::SqueezeNetwork::PrefSync::_syncDown_error (359) Sync Down
failed: No such player: cb:c3:45:a8:ee:fb, will retry in 300

--------------------

in the log.

Interesting fact: The mentioned player is shown in
"Settings/Information" as:
Player model: softsqueeze
Firmware: 2
Player IP Address: 127.0.0.1
Player MAC Address: cb:c3:45:a8:ee:fb

Other reasons for my suggestion:

- Players (especially remote players) might "go away" (sold, broken,
software players that never get connected again) and thus there would
be no means in the UI to "unsync" them again.
- Players can't be unsynced if they are not connected.
