Softsqueeze through ED is just a plugin and it copies files into standard locations - nothing is run. I think your problem is elsewhere - did you look at the log file ?
Have you checked the prcoess manager to see if Squeezecenter is already running or an old Softsqueeze process which are holding open port 3483 ? I can't see the screenshot to know what has happened.
