Good catch! The notification needs to be a bit more intelligent: only SC  
itself does reset the notification trigger, but not the installer. Thus as  
long as SC isn't fully up and running, the status is not reset.

I'm not sure I understand what you want to say? Doesn't it go away?

The daily update very likely is to go away. We enabled it to get the code  
tested. But I doubt we want users to automatically download daily builds  
in the long term. This would make our bandwidth consumption explode :-)
