Yeah my solution is low tech but involves deleting out the useless folders:
test softsqueeze Vendors\CPAN Also everything under Bin or anything in a folder not related to Win32 when the other items are clearly for other OSes. I got it down to 201MB or 221MB on Disk. I just do my updates in my RAM disk sync folder, then do my manual deletions and then copy to the RAM Disk.
