I typically don't wait for the current song to finish - I'll just play the album. As I am selecting to play the album, I don't need to hear the current song, because I'll get it when it comes round on the album. Note that I play an album, not play the track with "play other songs on album" enabled, which would otherwise cause the first n songs before that track to be skipped.
