I only have a serious problem with the control panel immediately after a fresh install of recent versions of 7.4. The control panel process needs to be killed before SC will startup for the first time. Once SC has started up once, you can reboot the computer and/or stop/start SC without a problem.
*- what Windows version are you using?* XP Pro with SP3 *- what video card & drivers are you using?* Radeon X500, latest drivers *- looking at the task manager, do you see squeezeboxcp.exe?* Yes *- is squeezeboxcp.exe eating all CPU?* No *- is squeezeboxcp.exe using all/a lot of memory? How much?* Not all but lots - not sure precisely how much but will check next time it happens. *- does the control panel at least sometimes work?* Other than on a first start up of SC following an install, yes it does most of the time, although it sometimes appears to freeze and needs to be manually killed, however I can't reliably reproduce this. -- Siduhe Who am I on 'LAST.FM' (http://www.last.fm/user/siduhe)?
