2) Library location seems to me to be basic information. No point in
having it start and scan something into a library (probably junk sample
audio files that shipped with the computer). I'm an "advanced" user so
I would also like the opportunity to setup the start mode to be system
start and to enter the user id and password.

3) Yes, I would expect that the normal view to open after the SN stuff
(if the SN stuff is still to be required). See above for why. I guess
I see the "initial" screen as a password/login prompt only and not the
control panel since I can't control anything.

4) I tried several ways. Directly after install, leaving everything
exactly as the install left them I ran the CP from the start menu. I
belive that I set the start option and user id first and hit apply. I
am almost positive that I setup the library/playlist folders (and hit
apply) before going to the start/stop button and restarting SbS the
first time. I confirmed that it was running under the proper user id
and went to a different computer to access the web page. I did notice
that the cp had also reported scanning 2 albums (the sample ones in the
random windows directory). I confirmed that the web settings have still
pointed to my c drive instead of the proper unc patch (and you cannot
search those from there) so I closed the web ui and restarted the SbS
CP. It properly displayed the unc library paths. I applied again and
stopped/started SbS again. I again went back to the web ui and it was
still pointing to the c drive (again confirmed by another scan result of
2 albums). The only way I could get SbS to use the unc paths was to use
the web ui settings page.

Along the way I noticed the multiple SbS processes running with
differnt user IDs when saving from the SbS CP. I also, at one point,
noticed that I had about 6 scanner.exe processes running. I manually
killed them from the Windows task monitor. I wonder if they somehow
stayed running after they had finished scanning since I was
starting/stopping and doing clear/rescans quite a few times. Haven't
had a chance to look into that in more detail yet.

5) I don't think that is the case. I had changed the mode/user and
restarted it. It was running under the other user. When I saved again
(without changing the mode user) it started up the new SbS with current
user I was using (not the one it should be). All changes were made
either with the SbS CP or the web UI (library folders). All
starting/stopping was done with the SbS CP, although I did have to kill
a few processes using the Windows Task manager (as noted).

Most of this is user feedback on the install ease of use, etc. so I'm
not planning on filing any bugs (unless you tell me to). I'll redo the
install when I have some more time and better document the exact steps
and timing of everything (this weekend, I believe). I wanted to get you
something back as fast as possible, if nothing else to give you a heads
up.

I do have to say again that I really like the control panel - it is
going to be very nice to use and with a few tweaks will make the entire
new user experience a lot more friendly!
