Ok, sorry I can't suggest much more. Other than to check that you haven't got any duplicate .zip files anywhere like /installed plugins and also that you have put the unzipped copies in /server/plugins (i.e under the SC install directory) (not in the prefs/cache/log dirs). That seems to be working ok for me at least for now.
Looking back, the last "backup" copy of 7.4 I've kept is v26940 which is normally a copy I keep when something goes wrong on the subsequent install. -- Siduhe Who am I on 'LAST.FM' (http://www.last.fm/user/siduhe)?
