Title says it - while listening to a (local MP3) track, I suddenly hear
a beeeeeeeeep tone (through my main speakers, not the touch speakers),
which goes on for about 3 seconds, and then the track resumes.  It
sounds like a 1kHz or so pure tone.  It's relatively loud, but
thankfully not full scale.  It's not present in the MP3 file - I listed
to it with foobar2000 to be sure.  Weirdest of all, it happened within 2
seconds of 3:00 elapsed in two consecutive tracks, and not at all on
shorter track.

What the hell?
