If by recently you mean in the last two weeks, then the "beta" has been repointed to test.squeezenetwork.com instead of www.squeezenetwork.com.
You need to create a new account on test.squeezenetwork.com. I used the same username and password to make it easy once they point the beta back to the production server. So creating new accounts on www.squeezenetwork.com doesn't work since the beta doesn't look there. If you have a version earlier than the high 27??? (don't remember the exact numbers) then this doesn't apply.
