Hi I know this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find those threads now, so I'm starting a new one.
Basically I would really like if (desktop) SqueezePlay could connect to SqueezeCenter via ssh-tunnels. For Linux (and Mac?) users this is a fully secure, straight forward way to connect remotely to a ssh-capable Squeezeboxserver. Windows users can easily do the same by installing the free ssh-client, Putty. I've tried forwarding (tunneling) tcp-ports 9000 and 3483 and connecting with SqueezePlay. No joy. AFAIR from the old threads the problem was that SqueezePlay broadcasts discovery packages over UDP/3483. This can not be forwarded over ssh-tunnels, and Squeezeplay couldn't do without. I also found this old bugreport: https://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8800 but it seems a bit unclear what exactly it is about. So. Any input on this. Should I file a new (more detailed) bugreport. Anyone wants it?
