haven't access to a Touch, and therefore don't see how a context menu is
called up, since there are no buttons. I guess touch is play and tocuh
and hold is context??

For other control methods (IR, SBC or on device buttons - Boom/radio)
then there are clearer button options i.e. play, + and then
right/centre/push knob. 7.4 has introduced '+ is more' as well as '+ is
add'.

This is introduced not changed as IR to SB3 still acts as '+ is add'
but using IR with Radio it is '+ is more'. This has caused confusion
already (threads http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68568
and http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69376)

I like Sue's suggestion of short context menu, primarily because
right/centre/push = play is too prone to wipe the current playlist due
to either habit (hitting to see track details) or over-zealous browsing
(button presses getting ahead of display). However I also think multiple
context menus would add complexity, expecially with their reduced space
on SBC.

I think a wider solution is needed to provide consistency for those of
us with multiple player types to keep us sane. The Touch will provide a
new mechanism (touch) but if using an IR why should it behave
differently from an SB3/Boom. I understand that there is a strong stance
to '+ is more' and therefore the solution may be have to be some form of
configuration option (most games on consoles or p.c. seem to allow this,
so it shouldn't be beyond new users).

This overlaps with https://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=13689
but that may be too much for dev's to do prior to Touch release so an
interim (pragmatic) solution may be needed.
