Two major problems with the new squeezeplay client for OSX: (tested under SL)
1) It does not follow the system selected audio output device, choosing instead the system internal speakers. There is no way to correct this. If an application can not be set up to choose a specific output device, it should follow the system default. 2) It does not allow for manual configuration of a server IP address. If no server is seen on the local LAN, it just gets stuck with no options for any sort of configuration. You can go back to the language selection screen, or you can go to the select a server screen which is blank.
