Is it really supposed to prefer ID3v2 tags over Vorbis tags in FLAC files ?
I just realized why SBS 7.5 shows duplicate entries of some of my FLAC albums. It appears like some files had both Vorbis and ID3v2 and ID3v1 tags. One file had both a Vorbis ALBUM tag and a ID3v2 TALB tag, in this case it took the value from the ID3v2 tag. My files are of course incorrectly tag, but this shows that even people with a bit knowledge about tagging might get problem with this new merging functionality. I'm not sure how I've managed to get ID3v2 tags in my FLAC files, if I remember correctly I've only tagged the files with: - EAC directly after ripping - Musicbrainz picard when I added Musicbrainz tag - foobar 2000 when adjusted some tags after I used picard I've no idea which of those that caused the ID3v2 tag. By the way, I love the new "view tags" feature which made it possible for me to find the cause. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) (Install my plugins through Extension Downloader) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70456 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
