I'm getting exactly this issue on a new (non-beta) Win7 machine to which I recently upgraded. On the account tab of the Squeezebox Server control panel, when I try to enter user name and password and click apply, the error is "An unexpected error occurred while validating your mysqueezebox.com account. Please make sure network connectivity is working fine." Connectivity is, indeed, fine. I tried clicking on "I forgot my password," and got a new one, but still no luck. When I Googled the error message, this thread is the only one I found that is on-topic, so apparently this issue isn't widespread. But I'm still looking for a fix.
