Due to sleep problems (ironically) I've had some time to play with my Radio. For me the Sleep display works nothing like Ben describes. In fact the display does not even act consistently, let alone reliably. However, the sleep function itself is reliable and Sleep is always set correctly. The sleep icon in the staus bar also works reliably.
Background: 7.5.0 - r29934. Radio: r8402 I navigate using the buttons on the front of the radio, epecifically the back arrow to navigate to the Sleep function and a hit of the knob to select. Usually I am playing BBC Radio 4 on the iPlayer plugin, but results seem to be the same if I use a track from My Music. I have a bespoke blue background set for the Radio. Selecting a Sleep time of "30 minutes" (hit the knob to select): a) The pop up window almost never appears b) Usually nothing changes on the main display, although the sleep time is set and the snooze icon appears in the status bar. c) Sometimes the selection changes from thirty minutes to "Sleep at end of Song". However "Sleeping in 30 minutes" is at the top line of the display so it is not possible to see "Sleeping in 30 minutes" unless you scroll up the display. d) Once in an absolute blue moon "Sleeping in 30 minutes" is shown at the top line of the display. However, it is *never* highlighted. The selection stays on either "30 minutes" or "Sleeping in 30 minutes". This means that ones eye is never taken to "Sleeping in 30 minutes" so it is missed. e) If one has already set Sleep and then attempts to change the amount of time Sleep is set for nothing ever changes on the visible display. How I think it should work: a) Selecting a Sleep time should show the words "Sleeping in * minutes" visibly on the top line of the display and this *should be highlighted* (selected). b) When Sleep is active and the Sleep time is changed the same thing should happen. c) I don't think the pop up window is necessary at all. It just gets in the way. I'm guessing that this is also a problem for the "just to be released" 7.4.2 as I can't see that Sleep has been worked on specifically for 7.5. I'll not post a bug until the problem is verified by another.
