I had microwave problems as well. I wired my kitchen Boom to stop the dropouts, which improved matters.
I was still getting some dropouts though and it took me a while to realise why. My remaining wifi Boom was causing the problem, even though it was furthest away from the microwave it would still cause the occasional dropout when synced to the rest of the wired players.
