Cyberguys, and others, sell a 2.4 wireless spectrum analyzer for $60. This would maybe tell you if the interference is on the wireless side. Can the wireless adapter on the TP be disabled ? If it is active and looking for a signal, maybe the processor on the TP is spending its time trying to figure out the interference from the microwave. Obviously I would defer to the designers on this one.
