Peter: I tested your Nick Cave file in 7.5 and it is correctly detected as ALAC and plays fine. The only bug I noticed was that the bitrate was incorrectly read as 9kbps, this is because of the way the file is structured and I'll fix this in a future version. This does not affect playback or anything.
