I aborted the scan, and then started a rescan (SQLite).
SBS doesn't think that a scan is in progress (doesn't stop me from launching
another scan).
Looking at Previous Scan details, it shows that the scan has finished, but it
does still show the scanner progress, which updates on this page. i.e. the
finish time updates.
I monitored the log, so I knew a scan was running, and waited for it to
complete.
Information page then showed:
Discovering files (31052 of 31052) Complete 00:10:16
Scan new files (27059 of 27059) Complete 00:42:22
Pre-caching Artwork (3002 of 3002) Complete 00:00:04
The server has finished scanning your music collection.
Total Time: 00:52:42 (Saturday 15 May 2010 / 13:31:17)
That's about the same time as a 7.5 MySQL scan. However, it hasn't done
MusicIP import, which takes some significant time.
Looking at the log, it looks like MusicIP import is performed as part of
pre-cache artwork, but fails:
