While I agree with you that the giant Home Menu customization is easier
to use, I do think we should avoid maintaining duplicate solutions for
the same functionality.
Duplicate ways to maintain home menu customizations just means that it
will cost more time in maintenance and testing and there will be less
time left for the music related stuff. With limited number of
development hours it's important to dare to remove old stuff when you
have a new solution, especially if it's something you usually only
configure once for a specific player during its lifetime.
