/Users/<user name>/Music/iTunes because this is where my iTunes library file resides. However I have NO music files in the 'iTunes Media' directory under this directory. I have 6000 CDs stored on an external disk that are referenced within the iTunes library. Within iTunes I previously set the Media folder to be on my external disk. This all works perfectly in 7.5.1, both a complete scan and a 'new and changed' scan It would be interesting to know how your set up is different from mine. Do your files reside in the 'iTunes Media' directory under /Users/<user name>/Music/iTunes ?
