Hi,

I had problems starting SBS some days ago as well (running 7.5.2 fine
since last summer I think).

We use a laptop running Windows 7 64bit and Windows Security
Essentials.

I could bring up SB controlpanel and click "Start SB server", but it
didn't start. Inspecting the log, provided a hint on MYSQL problems
(couldn't create table). So I looked at my services: SqueezeSQL was set
to automatic but not started. I tried starting the service manually, it
started, but as soon as I tried starting SBS from control panel, then
SqueezeSQL service would stop.

I also tried disableing MS essentials suspecting it might be involed
given past problems with Antivirus and MYSQL. But that didn't help
either.

Then I tried reinstalling SBS 7.5.2 on top of my current 7.5.2 letting
the install program do the uninstall in the process, but no luck.
Finally I manually uninstalled SBS using the provided shortcut and then
reinstalling SBS 7.5.2 and then it worked again.

I have no idea what caused a working system to suddenly fail, but I
suspect that a change in Windows 7 (hotfix) or MS Essentials (update)
and subsequent reboot could explain this. We have Autoupdates on both
OS and AV software so it could have been some bad hotfix from MS.

All my pluings, favorites etc. survived the process - thanks! :-)

I didn't delete any files or folders after the uninstall.
