As a last resort before contacting Logitech support tomorrow, I powered off the Touch for an hour and powered on again. Seemed to solve the problem - screen was back. I re-entered all my preferences (and enabled ssh!), then installed the BBC applet - the reboot after applet install bricked the Touch again!
Powered down Touch again - waited 5 mins - powered on again. Still bricked! Did the same again - waited 15 mins this time - Touch display was back. Same issues again after firmware update to r9297. Weird....
