Mnyb, does the problem happen directly after startup or does it leak
over time so it takes some time until it starts to use more memory ?
If it leaks over time, does it leak when it just stands there or do you
need to play music or browse menus or do something else for it to leak
?

I just tried latest 7.6 in my development setup and directly after
startup it uses about 140MB which I think is about normal with all my
plugins installed. Some of them (especially Custom Browse) are a bit
memory intensive so it's normal that SBS duplicates its memory usage
with it installed.

7.5 with the same plugins use about the same memory amount (140MB), my
7.5.4 nightly production setup currently uses about 160MB.

I do have a problem in my development setup where I need to warm up the
system by restarting SBS a few times, else it creates a lot of
slimserver.pl processes. But I don't think this is the same as you see
because each process doesn't use much memory, the issue is many
processes, this warm-up problem has been there since 7.4 or something
similar so I don't think it's related to this. I suspect the warm-up
problem is related to some of my plugins and probably to the CPAN
modules I bundle with them, I've never seen it with SBS without
plugins.
